    House Stuff..

I'm pleased to announce we've got grand house plans for 2010!

I'm not sure if the promised new kitchen will come to fruition, but we've already started on the front rooms and have had great fun planning and dreaming of the way we want things to look. It's also been nice to concentrate on something new and separate from my now all-consuming post-baby career.

    So: on to 2010!

    New Chair/ New Lamp

This is my new armchair in its new home in the front room.
    It's a grainy, moody night-before-Christmas pre-reno-shot.
And doesn't it go well with my new lamp ? How's this, I ordered that lamp 3 days before Christmas and it arrived Christmas Eve. That's service - I was mighty impressed.
I got it over the web, from Buyster Lighting, if you're interested. I'd definitely use them again.

    New Chair & Lamp

The sister chair is down in the family room, where it gets fought over on a regular basis. Soooo comfy.
And I now have a home for my Aunty Cookie cushions. The kids aren't allowed near them.
This is an *adult* room. It's clean. The walls aren't drawn on. I like it that way.

    My Youngest..

So we've replaced the original thin, cracked glass in the windows and AB has sanded and stripped back the metal frames. We've undercoated the fireplace and soon we'll start on the garish walls ( currently yellow with brothel red and brothel gold trim on the architraves - mmm )

Oh, and i've designed a whole new backyard - it came to me in a dream, I swear, and I didn't even look at any design mags, and if I don't say so myself, the design is AWESOME. I only hope it looks as good in real life.
So i'm quite toey to get that underway.

Projects, projects, projects. I love projects.

But first, the front room - stay tuned. ..

Love the chair, lamp, cushion combo. I also imagine you'll be thrilled to get rid of that paint!

Good luck with your Grown-Ups' Room. I have totally failed in my efforts to keep the kids out of ours, to the point where it is also known as The Lego Room.

How exciting. I do love a project.

I hope this is the year we finally do something about our falling down abode.

Firstly we need to make the decision whether to knock it down or do it up.

Until we do, I'll renovate vicariously through you.

It'll be a different place next time I visit! *grin*

Love dreams. Hope your backyard turns out awesome. Maybe then you could charge out for designing people's gardens through dreaming. Wouldn't that be interesting? *heehee*

Yay for projects!! They make you feel like you are achieving something and moving foward. I am a BIG fan of projects ... though only one at a time thank you.
You have to show us a scribble of your dream-designed back garden. I'm intrigued.

You didn`t mention the floor. It looks beautiful. Nice lamp selection. Lighting is HARD.
