    Intermission

Just a quick product plug :p

AB spent a week in Tassie recently working his guts out ( oh yeah, and eating steak dinners in fine dining establishments each night while I kid-wrangle and yell and shout and clean up after his namesakes )

Anyway, he felt a make-up present was in order, so he bought me a half-dozen wines from a winery he visited where apparently he & all his crew went nuts. I was sceptical and raised an eyebrow in comical dubious fashion. I like my Sauv's from NZ, and heavy on the passion and melon.

My half-doz arrived yesterday ... and OMG ... *swayed*. Not that i've ever dissed Tassie. I used to travel there as a sales rep on a fairly regular basis. I never saw anyone with two heads, and I frown at mainlanders who mispronounce Lonnie. I heart Tassie.

So, it's not a budget buy, but if you ARE out to be a little more upmarket than your cleanskin this Christmas, or for a gift, may I suggest:

BONUS: it it corked with a glass stopper ! I know !
    How cool is that ?
No corkage, no taint, and no cap.
It's like an old apothecary stopper: awesome.

I remember the fine Austrian wine we had in Europe - it too had a glass stopper which we awed at...

Mmmm...could do with a nice wine right about now...Wonder when I will experience my first 'bottle-o' in Abu Dhabi?

I had to ask the locals the correct way to say Lon-sesstn. Apparently a town of the same name in the UK is pronounced Lawnston, which we liked. Well done AB for being thoughtful enough to give a make-up present.

I'll see if I can find a bottle round town, and hightly recommend Scarpantoni Estate Sauvignon Blanc - most excellent (and passionfruity).
