    Jesus Loves Me ...

or, if he doesn't, at least I know i've got my husband for backup.

Had a pissy two days as I grumbled and sooked about the fact I had to be 'blooded' again, for tests i'd already had. Turns out a girlfriend's boy had a baby-eating virus and she had to tell all pregnant women about it, and Dr Google said I was about to miscarry at any minute, and my own Dr. sent me out for more bloods, stat.

So even though it was nobody's fault, I was still allowed to be pissed off. Plus the fact, like most people, I just loooooooooooooooooove having needles stuck in me. Not.

So off I went today, to the blood-suckers, and as we'd promised the boy a trip to Bunnings ( possibly his most favourite place in the world ), we decided to brave it even though the afternoon had turned decidedly icy. We figured we could sit in the café area while he played in the 'park' and kick back a bit and then get home.

I needed a new planter pot, for my beloved standard Mock Orange ( I have to bring it inside if it's too windy, the current pot is all root system and no dirt/weight ), and i'm amazed it hasn't snapped in half before now, blowing off the deck...

The planter pots I wanted were $85 a pop, and I know they're usually $60, which is even then too exxy, so I wandered on...

    ...to find a much-lusted-after 7ft Ornamental Pear for $45 !!
Flemings stock too ( I trust them ).

This is my 'feature tree' for the eventual front garden, which we're not ready for, but OMG, the price and stock was too good to turn up.

So we snapped him ( the only one ) and 3 other 5ft fruit trees in blossom - a nectarine and 2x peaches. $35 each. BARGAIN !!

The fruit trees will go in the back garden. Somewhere. Eventually.

I was only at a girlfriends' only this week, lusting her blossom-strewn backyard. It looked like a wedding had been held there. I love blossoms.

Been having problems visualising how the backyard will be, actually. I think we need fresh input for 'the hard parts'. Thinking of hiring a landscaper to help with design.

    Not sure.

Lots of thinking, sketching, planning, dreaming, and visualising going on here ATM.

We're in no rush anyway, considering everything ( suprisingly ) costs money, and we've also been getting quotes on driveways, fences, rainwater tanks and all sorts of things.

And anyone who's read here long enough know we go off on flights of fancy like this all the time...

I lust the blossom yard too. Well done on your beautiful bargains!

Much dreaming up here also, spent much of my lurgy-week past doing Google Sketchups of the way the kitchen and bathroom will be when swapped, and supervising the Prof digging holes for my tree purchases of last week.

A spring photo post coming up for me, but not yet - your comedian RSM is up, partially anyway, at last...

I got a fright because I was reading too quickly and then I went back and read SLOWLY and realised what you were saying about miscarrying etc. So now I can breathe again I have to agree with you re ornamental pear. Magnificent - esp its autumn foliage but I think it is a great tree for all seasons.

    I love blossoms too.

Must have been a bit horrid for you with the worry and the needles. I hope you are all clear.

My Cherub shouts at "Look! A Bunnies" every time we drive past one.

The blossoms are just so pretty at the moment. We have one in our backyard and sometimes it looks a bit like its snowing with all the blossom blowing around.
I can fully empathise with the garden planning, costing, etc. We are going through the same thing at the moment and watching the dollars drain out of our bank account.
We keep saying that its adding value to the property. If we say it often enough, it might come true...
Sorry the QLD trip was wet. You're about the fifth person I know (not that I know you, but you know what I mean) that was in Qld in the past month and had crappy weather. Its just not right!!

gasp, hope everything's well and truly OK! having bloods taken is the pits.

I love blossoms too. Visited a friend of mine today who has more fruit trees in a small back yard than I ever thought possible. This time of year, it's stunning.

    Cool!

About the trees, not the bloodletting. I have to sit down and breathe, breathe, for such situations lest I faint.

I have to lie down when I have bloodtests. Such a swooning wimp I am.

And I have a soft spot for any tree named Chanticleer. I would like a rooster called Chanticleer. Except I wouldn't like a rooster really. Stupid things.
