    VISA

    noun

1 : An official authorization appended to a passport, permitting entry into and travel within a particular country or region.

2 : Something to debit to the tune of $440.00 for a Plumber to come out and fetch assorted toy skittles, tent pegs, rocks and other 'good fun stuff' out of the drain, thus allowing your effulent to once again flow freely.

With $440.00, I could have bought a whole new WARDROBE to cover my post-baby awkward-sized nothing-fits-it body.

This is what happens when you pat yourself on the back a little too proudly for having a boy that is happy to play quietly out in the backyard by himself while you breastfeed and watch Property Ladder.

Just what you DON'T need right now - imagine the push present you could have got with that money!

This story is only funny when it happens to someone else!

I'm always suspicious if my youngest is playing quietly...

    Got to love that boy!
From one tight-arse to another: get yourself down to Target/shop of choice and buy those clothes anyway. I considered it a necessity for some new stuff post-babies, just to feel normal again :-)

Heh. I guess you're not feeling very effluent then?

(best Kath and Kim voice, please).

    Suse - don't you mean ploise ? ;)

L.C. - went to Targ├ęt yesterday. Need to return the top for a BIGGER size. No 'bottoms' appealed. I'll get there..

And no, I wasn't too mad. At the time, the silence was golden. I just paid for it is all ....

    Little boys!!
I'm pleased you considered it a fair transaction - peace is peace, even if it comes with a $440 price tag.
Is that Property Ladder woman pregnant again? She seems to pop one out every series.

$440? That is a whole lot of plastic stuff in a drain. What does that plumber get paid an hour!!??

    h&b said...

    $88.00

Plus $75 for the service call and $60 for parts and equipment...

and i'm not saying I wasn't MAD .. just not the type of mad that ends with the neighbours calling Child Protection Services..

We're on a Christmas, Birthday and Anniversary pressie-giving bases with our plumber. Yep, it's bad. Love the push chair. Genius feature.

We had to fork out big BIG dollars for our sewer probs. It was our Lily Pily tree, not a little boy.
I think with a little boy at least you get tradeoff bonuses of hugs & kisses. Bloody Lily Pily.

Damn, I think we are heading for this EXACT drainage problem. And I have been ignoring it's development. Action needs to be taken.
