    Kindy and the Pub

The boy loved kinder .. or 'school' as he prefers to call it.

There were no tears ( from either of us ), and considering we're never been apart for more than a few hours in 3 1/2yrs, I was really impressed.

I came home, picked up the house, had NO NOISE, no tele, no ABC Kids. Just silence.
    My own headspace.
Some click-clacking on the computer was the only sound. It was heaven.

    6 1/2 hours BY MYSELF ! ahhhhhh....................

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Dad is home today. We had lunch at the pub.
Foxtel Sports was on. Some footy replay from 2007.

So I took a picture of the boys.

    Think they're related ?

Ha ha ha ha, how funny is that second pic?! That's a great moment in time. Was MC honestly interested or is it just a normal pose for him?

All of our first day @ Kindergarten shots are wonderful. I'm impressed there were no tears from either side. Well done and I hope you enjoyed your solo time?

Cute photos. Glad kinder went well and you enjoyed your day on peace. I took the day off and have been having one of those myself today, it's great.

He looks very excited to be starting kinder. I cannot believe you have only had a couple of hours to yourself in 3 1/2 years. That is quite amazing. It must have felt strange.

I didn't cry when Pia started kinder, but I bawled my eyes out when she finished.

No tears, I'm impressed. Glad he liked it and I reckon you deserve those hours to yourself especially with the bub on the way. How cute is the photo of the menfolk!

    That is one priceless photo.

And, my goodness, you are allowed to wear crocs to kinder? Our kinder deems them inappropriate footwear!

That photo is very funny! Although I'm thinking that 'pub' in the background looks a little flash to be called a pub...are you sure it's not a wine bar or a bistro???

Perhaps I've just been frequenting the wrong pubs!

Aww, look how proud of himself he is. And how grown up he is watching tv with his daddy. And Kinder is school, we always called it school in our house.

V&R: Yeah, I was surprised too - although he has my soft feet, that can blister in shoes i've owned for 10yrs already .. so i'm glad the crocs are ok !

Fairlie - yeah, ok .. mm .. probably more a bistro, i'd say..

Louise - hope you had a good first day - sorry I didn't pop in !

Great photo. Kids and their 'dad-like' poses. Funny stuff.

Good to read all went well and you (too) had a great day off.

    I'm waiting for the day.

Look at the anticipation, the uncertainty, the fear - will our team win? It's a cliffhanger. Oh wait, isn't it a re-run?! Those boys of yours are hilarious.

Ah, yes the peace. Make the most of it!

Such a great photo ! Would it suit fake ttv?

I too do not put on music or tv whilst the kids are at school - the silence is truly beautiful.

I've lost the peace now I'm back at work for our 2 'school' days. I am kind of looking forward to next year when the biggest is at school and I'll have 3 days at home alone with the youngest. ENjoy!

That is so gorgeous. I reckon the boys at your place & the boys at my place would have quite alot in common.

I have pics like that second one, only instead of one dad and one child glazed out over the soccer, it's one dad and three children.

How cute! He seems very proud to be going to school, how great - for both of you!

Trying to figure out which pub it is, not being a pub person. Now if it was a cafe or restaurant within 10kms I'd know it!
You did the smart thing and made the most of the peace. I spent the day out shopping like a chook with its head cut off. Glad it all went well.
