    Happy '08 !

Hope everyone had a good night !

I made Tacos for the first time in my 12yr marriage ( i thought the boy might enjoy the hands-on assemblage, and yeah, he did ). We wore party hats, and watched the family fireworks on TV at 9pm-ish, went outside and let off a few poppers. Whee !

We also watched the Lifestyle Channel. .
We salivated over Bill's Food, and were appalled with the antics of Wife Swap.

My son wanted me to get my kit off while watching How to look Good Naked, and pointed to the ladies on the tele for inspiration.
We really should moderate his viewing more, I think..

No wonder he's perving on teen girls.

We don't make resolutions here - i've always thought them a bit silly.
Made in haste, probably when pissed*, and always lofty, to impress those who ask. Invariably rarely kept, and sometimes forgotten entirely by the next day.
Who wants to join that particular pity-party ??

But, I do make pacts with myself, and adjust them throughout the year, if needed. Mostly it's that everyday kind of mantra along the lines of being a better person, lifetime stuff. I do think each year i'm a little more mellow, less selfish, a bit kinder .. well, I hope, anyway.

    Updated belly comparison:

That 2007 middle one at 30weeks has an odd shape, I think it was a dodgy photo or angle that week, but it was the only one I took..

Names are also sorted. Selfishly, I ignored all the great suggestions of my most popular post yet ( 41 comments ! ) and named the child myself, with the original names I was kicking around.

That means there will be no prize ( boo ! ).

Perhaps i'll do a height & weight guessing game a bit later on to make up for it ?
Don't be too upset anyway, it's me, not some clever, crafty lady.
The gift would probably be something crap, and neither of us would ever mention it besides some polite "I sent it today!", and then "Got your gift!" type emails....

Happy New Year, Guys & Gals !

    *as in drunk, not angry.

Gee you give me a good cackle! I'm glad other people let their 3yo's stay up to watch adult TV too - hey, they have to learn somewhere ;-)

I had a huge sigh and little crocodile tears when I scrolled down to your belly pics. It is so exciting to think in another 7-9 weeks or less you will be joined by another darling, hilarious (no doubt) child.

Happy 2008 to your family too. What a perfect year for you.

Love the "pissed" clarification. I'm the same -- no resolutions just a general, "what can I sort of work on?" The MB photo in the last post is priceless. Speaking of priceless - great belly montage. Twas motivation enough for me to stand up in the middle of reading and take one of my own immediately even though I'm not wearing anything as groovy as you were in any of yours. So I shan't be posting it. Happy New Year!

Gina - the clarification was for our American friends, for sure .. but no doubt being married to an Englishman, you didn't need the translation :)

I wish for you a speedy six weeks. In my experience the last six weeks of a pregnancy take at least four months to pass.

Tacos, good idea! I should add them to my repertoire too.
You may not be 'crafty' but you certainly are creative, which is just as good, so there!
Happy new year to you. That particular belly shot is indeed bizarre.

mmm Tacos, we should make them too. Your belly shots are lovely, can't wait to see the bellydweller enter the big wide world (well not literally, but you know..)

Happy new year to you too!

Happy New Year to you too!
Thanks for sharing so much with us over the past year, and I hope that '08 brings you just as much joy as this year seems to have.

When you are on your third child the belly comparison's get positively alarming!

I'm a no-resolutions girl as well - we should always be working on the things we don't like about our lives or ourselves. But in a no-pressure kind of way :)

    Happy New Year. 2008! Wow!

Happy New Year to you too. Which I'm sure it will be what with that bump about to become an adorable baby so soon. But are you sure you don't want to rethink the name stuff? Caroline is such a pretty name. I'm sure AB would come to like it.

Are you going to rename the blog House-and-Babies?

    Happy new year dear.

Happy New Year H&B! Geez...that baby's not far off now is it?

I wish I'd spent NYE watching Lifestyle channel. The house we were staying in only had free-to-air and LET ME TELL YOU free-to-air on NYE truly sucks. A little wife swapping certainly wouldn't have gone astray.

Ha, don't believe a word of the rubbish gift nonsense - the parcel you sent me was ace (and my children have already nicked the apron, the little demons).

    Happy New Year!
