    Freaky...

The boy had a late night last night as i let him sit up with us and watch "Ray", the Ray Charles story ( although I made him look away in that AWFUL traumatic drowning scene, and luckily he was too busy dancing to notice Ray shooting up ).

I know, I let my boy watch dubious stuff.

BUT, he had such a great time dancing.
It was all about the music for him.
And since most of the ads were for "So You Think You Can Dance", he got in a fair bit of boogie, and learnt some flash new moves. He finally passed out at 10.30pm.

I let him stay up late as he seems to have my sleep patterns, and I spent a great deal of my childhood staring at my ceiling wondering why I was being punished for not being tired.
    It was very, very boring.

    ANYWAY .. the freaky bit.

Jamie Foxx is hosting "Sesame Street" this morning, and MC was so excited !
He recognised him, and then mimicked a blind man playing the piano.

Now Jamie WAS wearing a pair of sunglasses, so maybe it was just a 'black man wearing shades' thing. But still, it freaked me out...

Friends over today. I wonder if they'll be hungry ? Nothing to eat here.
I think I need to get to the shops......

Great movie. Realized I obviously had NO idea what kind of person Ray Charles was. Interesting. Can't deny anyone the chance to dance can we??

My boys and I sat up and watched this too. Excellent movie.

Being slightly more elderly than your boy, mine restrained themselves from getting up and dancing. We sang along to some of the songs though.

I have taped this to watch later.
I like that you are flexible with your boy. I really tried to be, & my kids say they had good childhoods.

Our kids are way smarter than we think. I can remember my middle one always telling me directions to places at the age of 3. "That's where blah blah lives and if you go up there, that's where the whosiwatsit shop is". Used to freak me right out! Glad he likes a dance and NONE of my children will go to bed before 9pm at the moment!

Nothing like Ray Charles for making you want to shake your tail feather.
