    Random

    - All the packing boxes OUT of the garage ( w00t! - so much more room now ! ) for a friend who may be moving into their NEW HOME before Xmas

    - Wondering how they'll do the whole Xmas & tree & 4yr old thing while trying to pack up the house and not disappoint the boy.

    - If you name a baby "Liberace", will that be a source of taunt in the schoolyard of 2016, or is it a case of 'who's that dude? Is he, like Timbaland, coz he totally rawks ?'

    - Not that I want to name my child Liberace, or Rock ( Hudson ) .. but ... like, I went to school with a girl called "Gay". In the 80's, we met the Grim Reaper and AIDS.

Gay was not a cool name.

    - I wasn't teased as a child about my totally white-bread name, but I know schoolyard teasing on another level, so the schoolyears play on my mind a bit...

Kids get enough crap without being saddled up for it by their parentals...

    - When I comment on flickr, and sometimes ask a question 'wow, this is nice, what plant is this?' ( or whatever ), and I get no reply - or even a return comment to the photograph . Rude.
Flickr isn't half the community blogger is.

    - Fence is almost finished. I've had some local bloggers do drivebys and send me emails on the progress. Note to self: try not to look so skanky when in the front yard, lest be blogged about elsewhere. ha !

    - I love it when Go Fug Yourself does conversations to go with photographs.
Baby Spice is still my favourite, I love her figure, and she seems so approachable and genuinely nice. What's not to like unless you're one of those 'I hate the happy people' people.
    Like Posh, f'instance...

    - I learned how to draw a horse this morning. I really should post pics of my 'before I googled this site' pics. Talk about BAD !
I was going to make a cardboard hobby-horse head, but then went and did other things instead..

    - We made jelly today. That's cooking, yeah ?

    - Got some new projects i'm dreaming of coming up.
Totally aware I need to make use of my gifted sewing machine and make something before the gift-giver cracks it with my non-appreciation and takes it away again.
Would make it easier if I birthed a girl, I think...

Me, I've always liked Ginger Spice the best. I told you how about the kid at our creche called Lucifer, right? Actually they mostly call him Bob these days, but sometimes I wonder if in 2016 the name Lucifer would be considered totally cute?

Ginger Spice is looking totally hot these days - I like her bo-ho flowing locks & frocks look.

    She also looks *happy*.
    That makes a difference.

Lucifer. You'd kinda hope he doesn't turn out to be a pyro, wouldn't you ?

    Uli - thanks !

and DMM - no, not you ;)

Oh H&B you don't need to birth a girl to use that machine. Believe me there were some pretty elaborate (if not a little embarrassing) costumes sewn for the tiny little gorgeous red-headed 6yo boy at the ballet last night. The "Santa's Elf" costume comes to mind...

Oh, good advice, M...all H&B needs to do is call her baby-child Liberace, dress him in a home-made Santa's Elf costume and send him off to school. Fail-safe plan to prevent schoolyard teasing.

I went to school with a Juanita Hoare (We need a whore). She was unteasable, tall and stately and serious and thoughtful and smart.

I think no matter how hard you try or not, teasing is something you can't always avoid or predict.

I hated being teased, I used to get called carrot tops of course, but that didn't bother me as much as Ali Baba and the forty thieves for some reason.

yeah, I find flickr a bit funny like that too. Big and amorphous, blogging is more, I don't know easier to get a handle on.

Your fence looks great and the jelly looks super fab. I have a new screen and oh, the details.... lovely

This post is so random h&b.

I love a great random post.

    This qualifies well and truly.

Liberace will never be a cool name.

    Never.

Yeah, making jelly can be listed as baking. I love the way he is looking at the instructions... *heehee*

I like Baby too - especially the photos of her now. I'd like her to be one of my friends. Did you ever see her in the episode of Ab Fab?

Fence is looking wonderful. Nice bricks. Nice letter box. Better than one that reads 'LETTERS'...

I was also going to say that in my playgroup their are 2 Jetts, a Cruise, a DeeJay and (get this one), Blade.

I hope Tracey doesn't see that above comment, I obviously wasn't thinking and put the wrong 'there' there. *sigh*

I'm embarrassed to say that I was looking through a 'take 5' magazine (at the doctor's surgery) and I saw a baby named Mykaybi. She is named after the Melbourne cup winning horse makybe diva. She'll NEVER be teased. Her parents should be cliped under the ear! TWICE

Noice! Any runners in the recent cup that might take your fancy?

And on the sewing thing, you should see the amazing wee shorts my mum makes for her gradson - very colourful & beautiful and still ok for a boy!

Oooh, have a girl, imagine the clothes you could make!!

Love the letterbox and the fence!

    Definite NO to Liberace!

I love the name Lucifer (bringer of light I think) but Liberace? Ummm no.

And it's Ginger Spice for me too.

The letterbox turned out really well!

And Liberace? Umm, no. How about Engelbert?

I had a name I hated -no one uses it, now that my Mum is gone. My best friend had the same name!

Cruise?? what kind of dimwit calls their kid Cruise?

It became quite a fashion to call a child the mother's maiden name... but with a name like Jasprizza or Zanella, ... I dont think so!

I have to add my name to the chorus for Ginger Spice - but I think I am a bit biased. Can I admit here that I am thinking of buying their Greatest Hits cd - for the girls of course!

Noice choice for the letter box and newspaper roll - unooosual, but noice ;-)

The nursery looks just gorgeous. Very creative of you!
As for your whitebread name, it happens to be my middle name, which I suppose makes me pretty whitebread too.
Probably explains why I could eat a whole loaf in one sitting....

Hey I went to school with some Hoares (and some whores). Perhaps Crafty and I went to the same school?

Maybe you can start making boys things - there's a real business idea there given all the terrible skull and crossbone clothes that exist for boys these days.

Hee hee ... those Fug girls and their conversations. They did an hilarious one with Posh and Karl Lagerfeld a few months ago and I still giggle whenever I think of it!!! :D

You get drive bys checking out your house!! Too funny!
Hmm, a normal name is probably the safest way to go , I suffered much from being named the same name as our state.

the fence is looking good. I lurve posh spice ... no eating , looking like an alien , denying plastic surgery - you know - she is like the whole package!

I am not kidding, my partner worked with a guy called Richard Head and a woman named something Cockburn but she insisted it was 'co-burn'?!! What happened to the c and the k back there, lady?!!!

You have inspired me to make jelly with the big girl this afternoon, I'm just hopeful it sets by dinner time which is remember one hour later than you since I'm in backward, bloody Queensland. And...Melody will agree with me there.

If you have a girl - remember that they wee in a different place on the nappy! My poor daughter spent her first day in a wet nappy as I was checking the front and not the bottom. Ooops.

Oh and as if you don't have enough distractions from your sewing machine... I've tagged you for the 8 things meme. :)

We had a Gaylene at school. Never Gay because she was POPULAR. I still can't figure out how these things work!
Definitely do the patchwork quilt on your machine. With your eye for colour it would look beautiful.
And I think I was one of those rude people who didn't comment on your comments in Flickr. I just don't check it very often. So sorry.
