    Can't Help Ourselves

I must admit though, I think I am lucky to have a "lets do it then" kinda husband, rather than one you have to kick up the arse every 5mins.

So he's been talking about clearing the side-way.
Ripping out the concrete slabs .. installing the watertank, 'landscaping' against the fence and house, and laying pebbles. Yeah, yeah, add it to the list ...

So he goes out to 'investigate', and the next thing I know, he's smashing concrete slabs and ripping out my hydrangeas ( so I had to go and find temp pots and spaces for them ) and ripping out all my temporary brick borders.

We got *heaps* done. No doubt there will be another skip parked in our driveway soon.

He also bought me my ♥ planter pot ♥ which I painted today as it only came in a trendy sandstoney white colour which doesn't really suit our stuff.

    I think i'll keep him ...

That certainly looks like a boy big enough to be called the big brother. Look how grown up he is!

Send him over! I desperately need my concrete ripped up. Tell him to bring the boy to paint my planter boxes too :-) (Has he grown taller??)

Good lord, is that the cutest kid or what? He's definitely a keeper .

So's the hubs. What are the chances of someone (possibly male but not necessarily!) investigating and then turning to immediate action? And you aren't even surprised by it!!

He sounds like a keeper to me and the wee one looks like an absolute keeper too.

J is the same - absolute demon for getting things done then and there - no procrastinating for him. I on the other hand.......

Good grief. We thought we were doing well haning the curtain poles last weekend, but now I feel like an underachiever. Best not mention this to my DH or he'll go off sobbing into his sandwiches.

Hi h&b.... I've read your comments on several of the blogs I frequent, so just could not deny my curiosity any longer and had to pop over. What a lovely young man! So big looking in his crocs! My Abby turns three this friday and I can't believe it! I suddenly realized that she is not really a baby anymore :-( You are so fortunate to get to welcome a new baby.... they are so unique and fun.... can't believe how different my two are... and how much I miss those sweet baby days.... good thing Rob isn't reading this.... he'd be rushing out for that vasectomy!

I'd heard rumors of those "let's do it then" guys actually existing. Nice to know a true eyewitness. Love the planter and the beautiful smiling MB.

You know ripping up the concrete is the only thing I've not been able to get my useful chap to do - too big a job he says ... lucky you.

You are lucky I have one of the other ones.
I have emailed him a link to this post hoping to evoke some inspiration when he checks his emails some time next year!

That pot looks great! It's so wonderful to have a go-to husband.

There should be awards for people who do as much as you have done with your home.
