Chirp!:

    12/23

It could be the heavier starting weight, or the fact I thought i'd do some comfort eating while trying to get pregnant .. but the fact is, on the left is me at 12weeks pregnant with the NB, and on the right, I am a week shy of being SIX MONTHS pregnant with the firstborn.

I think my body's just gone 'yeah, cool, I remember this' and assumed the position.

And yes, I have a thing for crisp white shirts.

oh wow! Fantastic news (about the NB!) How are you?

crisp white shirts seem to become grey and crumpled within seconds of me putting them on.

NB!!!! Where in the world have I been! How fab is that!

Well I think you look fantastic and your body is obviously very happy to be assuming "this" position.

yes your body most certainly assumes a position, mine is now assuming it never needs to return back...

"assumed the position"...I nearly wet myself laughing at that!

I definitely exploded bigger faster the second time around.

You do a crisp, white shirt well. They tend to look not so crisp and not so white on me. Do you starch?

(PS - no movement on the guttering front yet...hopefully Monday. All depends on the weather appparently - I guess that's an OH&S regulation too!)

well congratulations!!! I popped over from flickr last night to catch up on your goss and blogger was not playing nice with comments.

You look fabulous and do the white shirt so well! Here at chez scruffnut white shirts are only for job interviews and the like. We're not good with whites in the laundry.

    ooh how exciting :)))

HOW can you wear a crisp white shirt with a child? It requires (shudder) ironing and constant vigilance. I would get jam on the boob in a heartbeat of putting it on.
(And you look GOOOD, but I already told you that).

I was smaller with my second pregnancy overall, but I definitely popped out earlier. During my first pregnancy I thought hurrah I can eat whatever I like. So I gained 20+ kiilos. I was more restrained with #2.

Pregnancy pretty much shatters your tummy muscles. But it's a good thing to have assumed the pregnancy shape so early. Milk it for everything you can.

And what everyone else said about the crisp white shirts!

Oh don't you look a picture! Love a good pregnant woman! You look fabulous. I remember 6 weeks before I had Monet, I left work. One woman asked why I was leaving. I said I was pregnant. She just about fell over! 1st pregnancies are hidden so well don't you think? 2nd ones on the other hand...

I think you are spot on with the body 'assuming position'.
    You look great!

when you're at #4, the maternity gear comes out immediately following the pregnancy test.

... and crisp white shirts seem so so long ago.

I understand on both fronts - the need for white shirts and the second time around belly!

Welcome to my tidal wave!! That is brilliant news... and yes your body does "assume the position"... and sometimes that makes the birth easier too... I'm sure my daughter followed the big arrows etched on my womb by my son! Congratulations!

re maternity clothes - with the first baby I was in them within minutes of the positive pregnancy test whereas with subsequent babies I tried to stay away from then - in fact I seem to remember wanting to wear them AFTER the births for the sheer comfort of those elasticized bands! looking good h&b

Yes, you do pop straight out the second time around. You should try it with twins, sweetie!

You look lovely. Has anyone mentioned that yet?

(ps - sorry, I did think of you as I quite deliberately installed some un-bonkable men in this week's root shoot marry, but my hangover took over. It was, as they said in Dangerous Liaisons, beyond my control. Next week: I promise!)

pps - just thinking... you do know it's just one NB, don't you? Cos trust me, that twin thing can sneak up on ya.

Don't fret - it's just a case of 'second baby immediate poppy-out tummy syndrome'.

Wow, great news! I popped out immediately with baby #2 but didn't show for ages with baby #3 and they were all girls. I've got to say though, delivery #2 was an absolute breeze - 2 hours, no drugs!
