    flickr!

Joined up yesterday, and what fun i'm having. Why did I hold back ?

I've joined "Corners of my Home", and "Corners of my Yard", and
"A Year of Colour" .. all these pictures i've admired on the blogs of others .. but I didn't want to put stuff like this on my blog ( well, not all the time, anyway ! ).

( the Virginia Creeper on my garage is just starting to change colour )

So it's nice to be able to immerse in the pictoral without it having to bog up my blog, so to speak.

    * * * * *

Anyway, it's been very quiet all over. My street is so quiet, and a lazy, hazy Indian Summer warmth drenches the house and yard and just makes me feel sooooo gooood !

    I love autumn.

I did what I do every Easter. House -stuff.
I think it's an institution in Australia ( if you are 1/ - not religiously affiliated, and 2/ don't take off for a riverbank or beach somewhere ) .. to ... home-project.

We 'bagged' a courtyard wall one Easter. A Tuscan yellow. Good times.

This year was more mundane. Washed windows, mowed the lawn, painted pots, planted seed, starting organising the garage, and all sorts of satisfying stuff like that )

I blame the overall quietness of Easter, or perhaps the overwhelming unpopularity of my last post ( I know, to blog and be anonymous, tough call ). Or perhaps it was because you were all away, enjoying yourselves elsewhere. But i'm impatient, so I couldn't wait any longer.

The anonymous project is going to ..... Peppermint Patcher.

Stomper also put her hand up, but I also know she reads the Peppermint blog .. so perhaps she'll be next in line from there. And i've already posted her a little treat this week.

And finally, this last pic is for Suse. Reading her blog yesterday, I discovered we'd both bought cute synthetic PAINFULLY UNWEARABLE shoes from K-Mart in a smilar desperate quest for replacement Mary-Janes.

She's fared better than I ( I wish i'd gone back and exchanged for a larger size too ! ), so I had to go out looking again. Not quite what I wanted, but I am in *love* with these, and they are soooo comfy to wear.

You would be an excellent contributer to the photos-of-yard/garden group, I love your garden shots. Lots of gardening going on around here this week, luckily not by me!

    Cute shoes. Very cute.

I *heart* creeper, especially this time of year when the leaves start to turn. When we lived in Sth Melb, most days Monet and I would wander up St. Kilda Road and I would admire the creeper on the army barricks there, on the old bluestone building. I saw it change colour each season. I have lots of photographs of it to proove it.

Great shoes. Love your leafy garden too.

Funny, your creeper is much greener than ours, ours (what's left of it) is a blazing red glory. Do you think it could be because you're on the other side? of the river?

Been over to sticky at your flickr, excellent. I love flickr, it's my current time sucking, rsi inducing, obsession (eventhough I'm being weird about commenting etc) and am trying to convince all my family to get involved. So modern.

Oh my goodness, you have Virginia creeper in Oz too? Whenever I see it, I try to pull it down because it just grows rampant on top of everything else....

    Love those shoes!

What pretty shoes and I must say (warning: I DO NOT have a foot fetish) you have very dainty feet. My feet are quite broad so I find it hard to locate comfortable, yet modern shoes. I am on a quest tomorrow though..I see Myer have 25% off a lot of brands.

It appeared that those of us with 'housey' stuff to do were the only bloggers over the Easter break. (Maybe the others just have lives!)

I look forward to receiving the anonymous book - I have a few ideas already - and will be more than happy to pass on to Stomper if she is still keen.

Flickr does have some very cool features. When I was doing research on a new camera I could browse Flickr by "Type of camera" and that really helped me compare the quality of images taken by various brands.

Looking forward to some more H&B images.

Autumn up here in Sydney has been very wet. Rain rain rain, but not surprisingly, no one has complained! Everythign is looking much greener and healthier.

Love the creeper. The colours are beautiful.
