    All Done ?

This is a question that gets asked a lot here, usually when the youngest family member is im/patiently waiting to do something more funner.

"All Done ? All Done, Mum, All done?"

Well, yes, we are. That's the last cake for a while kiddo, better enjoy it.
( I made a Donna Hay Marble Cake this time - *incredibly* moist and very delicious, although it was a bit messy, what with 3 bowls of coloured batter. )

I iced, and the boy decorated with candy-coated rice puffs ( remember those ? - I got so excited when I saw them in the shop ! )

Now we've got a couple of months of Kiddie Parties to get through.
It will be nice to be the guest :)

I don't want to be rude, but you look slightly older than 7. Just slightly.

Happy Birthday to you H&B. I hope some spoiling went on.

I'm with SG on this one. I was 7 once, and I paid attention. For starters, none of the 7 year old girls had offspring.

Oh no, I'm late with happy wishes. You look like you were having a terrific time. Spill the beans on the pressies received, that is always my favourite part.

Gosh, that looks yum. The mention of marble cake really takes me back. my sister and i got a copy of 'best microwarve baking recipes for kids' when we were little (mid-80s, you see) and that cake was our standard project. how could we resist all that food colouring?
Looks like your boy had fun decorating.

Heh, yes - Stomper and Joke - thanksverymuch, but you can add another THIRTY candles to my cake, if it makes you feel better ;)

I just wanted enough for me and the boy to share, as it's still all about him, natch..

Pressies - since we area ll April babes, we don't 'gift' per se, but buy stuff for all of us that we all want.

This year, I/we got our first grown-up TV entertainment buffet/unit. It's tres nice.

    And a couple of lamps.

    Life's good.

    xx
