    Wet New Year's Eve forecast

    So says news.com.au

.. and I must admit, it's looking a bit cool & murky out there at the moment ..

Last year it was so hot, the pictures I took of my son featured him in only a nappy. It was melty hot, and we hung out at home in front of the air-conditioner, drinking champagne and watching a rock concert on the tele until midnight.

THIS year, we have a pretty special invitation involving hob-nobbing on somebody's YACHT.
    Swish-o

    And it's going to rain.

Oh well ... it's all good, the drought, and all that. My yard/grass is springing back to life, and it's good to see the green buds of life.

Hope you all have a lovely night tonight, toasting yourselves and eating paté and cheeses, smoked salmon and capers, all those good things.

Tomorrow i'm changing the blog over to the new BETA version, which apparently has all the kinks ironed out now. So if you tune in, and everything's skewed and a bit Picasso'ish, you'll know what happened.

See you all in 2007 !

    xx

Oh yes I remember last NYE last year well. How hot was it in Melbourne? Too hot to be outside with a little one.

This year I am having another warm NYE, but not a 'stinking' hot one. Think it will probably rain though but not to worry.

Have a great night and a great 2007. See you next year.

Oh, I've got the nudey beetroot shots of my kids from last year too!

Hope you have fun on the yacht!! Here's me thinking you'd be a fellow bah-humbug re New Year's. But no. Off eating canapes and swilling sparkling. In your raincoat...

Happy New Year Ms. House! It's been excellent fun meeting you and getting to know you this year.

    Happy New Year.

And please note I am a real dork...I was reading and thinking "what is she talking about, it's only December 30!" Then I remembered, another country, a different time zone, across the date line. Like I said, I'm a dork!

The grey clouds have just rolled in over Sydney and it looks like its going to bucket down. I always feel for those who've sat out in the baking sun to secure the prime spot all day - only to be rained on at the end of it. Anti-climactic to say the least.

    Happy New Year.

Hey, great photos! I love the new year baby and the sports arena fireworks photo. I was thinking of you this morning when I read that Aussies had celebrated the new year already. You're a whole day ahead!

    Happy New Year!
