    So Exciting !!

Sad suburban no-life housefrau that I am ... I actually turned to my friend at one point during yesterday's taping of "DEAL or NO DEAL" and said:

"You know, I think this is quite possibly the most exciting day of my life"

    Yep.

WE HAD A BALL !!! IT WAS SO MUCH FUN !!

Symone picked me up at 6.30am as we had to be at the Studio by 7.45am ( we were way too early, but there was already a line ). We had picked our outfits carefully for optimum 'being picked' luck ... and I must say the "Deal" audience dress pretty upmarket.
I worried we might be overdressed, but everyone was there to make an impression. Phew !

So, we were in Block 3, which just felt *very lucky* ( although we've been talking about this for weeks, and throwing out positive vibes galore. We were determined to get on, to win )

John Deeks was our warm-up guy, working the crowds, making sure we made enough noise & hoopla ... telling jokes at Daryl Somers and Anthony Callea's expense, being rude, telling naughty stories ... all the stuff people love.
We did a couple of test runs and practiced hugging each other in shock and glee. Fun.

Two shows in the morning - NOT US ... our time was coming, oh yes, we just knew it.

Anyway, i'm not sure how much detail I can go into. We MAY have got on, we MAY have won money .... but since these shows ( we taped 6 ) won't be aired until 2007, and seeing if you DO win money, you don't get it until like, 6 weeks after the show airs .. I don't want to jinx any chances of getting that money we may or may not have won.

So you'll have to wait and see :)

A few thing I can tell you though, those Suitcase models are sooooo tiny, on spindley little legs with no boobies. I was scared a wind might rush through the studio and blow them all away. They're all gorgeous though, but can't be a day over 15yrs old .. ok, maybe 17....

After it was all over, we relaxed by the Spiegeltent at the Arts Centre, and took a little look at Ednaville .. so it was a full-on day for the High and Low Arts.
Much better than working, or looking after child, that's for sure ( we even commented on how nice it was to have a glass of wine without having to order the milkshake and hot bowl of chips STAT side ... )

    Ahhh.

And I leave you with this .. a video they played a few times, but still had us gasping every time.
Would you have taken the Deal ? This guy had the dangly goods ... that's for sure ....

Ooooh, dying to know how it turned out! My sister is OBSESSED with DOND. To be honest, I don't understand it as I've never watched a whole episode, but I'll make an exception for your
    ?appearance?

Suspense will kill me. You'll be harassed forever!!!! Glad to hear you had a great day. I'm sure you both looked the goods.

Wow!! Make sure you give the heads-up when your episode may or may not be on! Sounds like so much fun. I'm very jealous of and excited for you all at the same time!
Its so much fun going out without the small people. Extra good. Like getting day-release from prison. Although obviously should not equate looking after small people with punishment.

Wow!! If and when you post about how you may or may not have been on the show and may or may not have won some money, I may or may not have to leave a comment!

    Kidding!

Sounds like there are so many fun things to do in Melbourne.

Ohhh how I love the deal! poor Lola even crosses her arms when they chose no deal.

I spotted a loser ex- boyfriend on that a few years back when the format was different and they had their mate in the audience. I was very cut - but won $10,000 and said he would spent it on Valiants. Loser.

    I hope you won something!!

(Also- on another note, I have 2 copies of the Frankston murders send me your address if you want it?? Its very good!!)

I'm glad you had a good time. Everyone I know who have been for a taping has said the same...

Ahh the Speigletent. Oh how I miss having a beer out in the courtyard there, but then, look where I live now :) I can drink beer outside ALL the time!

Okay, we'll of course have to see the outfit.

What fun! I would have been excited too. I'm sure watching the real thing was great. It's funny, how easy it is as home. If I were the contestant I would be a bumbling fool!
