    2. Flowers for the ever-suffering mother & wifey
( Smell divine, and her favourites - Daddy is finally learning ! :) I also got some foodie stuff from Harry & David
    Yum !

    3. Minature Golf Cart ( including removeable/usable golf clubs in the back ! ) from Pebble Beach ( apparently the No.1 ranked Public Course in the U.S. ). Sooooo cute !!

On a separate note - to go Blogger BETA .. shall I, shant I ?
I have an awful habit of asking people questions just before I go and do what I want anyway, regardless of advice, so feel I am going to take the plunge .. but I still have to ask ..

Apparently it stuffs things up a bit, like the layout of my blog, and pretty things and doo-dads can get lost/linkless but i'm thinking a revamp might be in order anyway. And once it's set up, it's heaps better .. anyone ???

and what is this blogger beta that everyone's talking about??

I've not switched mine over to the beta, but I did start up a separate test blog for family only. I really like the restrictions feature (ie: only authors can view it).

Other people have said they've had problems with the beta but I've not, so far.

He looks precious in all the pics on this page! Keds are the sweetest!

I've not taken the beta plunge, because like you, I've been unsure. It's been good reading your comments to find out more.

Loverly flowers. I also like that vase to the left of it. Beautiful colour!

As to BETA the only thing I know is that I visited a blog recently that I used to be able to comment on; they then changed to BETA and now blogger won't let me post comments anymore. I don't know what is going on there; maybe they are purposely blocking me now - I didn't think I was that offensive ha ha :D

I have beta now. I talked a bit about it on my blog yesterday. There are things that I like about it and things that I don't. I didn't know that anyone could get it outside of the U.S. Duh. Says how much I pay attention!

I love the ability to add labels a lot! That is pretty cool. I also like the new "Dashboard" set up. I like the way you can move pieces around in your template if you use one of their templates.

I do not like that I lost my template and nothing I do works to get it back. So if you sign up don't do anything to fiddle with the template you've got (go into that edit html spot) until you're sure everything will work. I also don't like that I have to make sure that I'm signed into Blogger before I leave a comment or I lose that comment. And like Nutmeg, there are non-beta blogs that I can't comment on no matter what I try.

So I hope that helps, I have only had it a few days though. They also let you look through all sorts of information before you sign up and you can not sign up after reading those. The only other thing is that once you sign up, there's no going back if you don't like it.

Oy! I just wrote a book about that! Sorry!

I've made "the switch" and prefer the beta version. I think they've ironed out a lot of the early problems (eg, I've never had any trouble making comments on non-beta blogs).

Hmm .. yeah .. I had probs when initial blogs started changing too, and there was uproar, but I agree, furor seems to have died down, and as a 'non-beta', my intial probs with comenting on a beta blog have now become a non-event.

Hmm .. i'm in the process updating my look anyway, so it's yet to be seen whether I take the plunge .. do I need more drama in my life ? I'd say no, but sometimes I seem to invite it ...

Ye gods. All this talk of beta.
I am still finding my way round the old lot -haha.

Love the little Guy, he is gorgeous.

    What a nice Mr H & B! Lovely flowers!

I'd say don't take that plunge into beta just yet... There will be bugs, that's why they release beta versions of everything. It's still in testing... However, if you ever fell like you've got nothing to lose and feel like a change... go for it and put it down to a "learning experience" :)

Just a foot note to my comment:
    http://knownissues.blogspot.com/

This blog covers bugs and missing features in the new version of Blogger (currently in beta) that affect a significant number of users.

I changed over...and I haven't had any issues so far (fingers crossed). I find that uploading pics from Picasa seems slower than before...but this could be a Picasa issue?!

I hope people have been able to comment on my blog...if they wish...I haven't bothered with any of the restrictions features.
