I really felt for Jamie last night on BB ( ok, I watch sometimes, but i'm not a fanatic .. ) when Gretel asked him about the headband. "I hate my hair" he said in a way I could sympathise with .. I knew he meant it .. after all, i've been wearing one daily for the last 20yrs.
Yeah, i'm that sad.
So anyway, I joined the real world ( ie: the non-scabby, hairdresser-paying, not-mean-with-money world i've previously shunned ) today and had my hair cut short for the first time since my damaged early teens, and a colour too.
To normal people, a cut n colour is not news.
To anyone who knows me, this is breakthrough science.

I am not wearing a headband right now, per se, but it turns out I propped up my sunglasses on top of my head, and forgot about them. Almost the same thing.

I really like the new do.
Although one really must remember that one's hair will never retain that just been to the stylist look. That is the real reason to hate celebrities who have their own daily stylist.
My experience is that I come home from the hairdresser - say how do I look? - I get fantastic Mum from the kids and a hmmmm from the husband who then usually says wow I like your hair two days later after I've washed it and it's gone back to normal. Mind you - he has no hair - so what would he know?
