    ttv

Lately i've noticed some of my fave flickr posters ( like bloglines, I check the work of those I like or admire daily ) have been doing some really cool stuff.
I discovered ttv, and immediately I was on eBay looking for ye olde cameras to set up my own system, and planned to scour the local Oppies.
I hadn't been so excited about something in a long time.

Then, this morning, I discovered something naughty. And lazy.
    Right up my alley.

    You can cheat.
    Oh yeah.

So this is my first attempt, a pic I took last night on Brighton Beach ( we went down at 8pm and stayed til about 9pm, and it was STILL HOT ! ) Great colours though, the sunset was awesome - you can see a couple of my non-tweaked shots, including the original of the one below on my flickr.

Behold, the excitement that is me:

Let me know if you try it yourself and be sure to post your results
( i'm looking at you, Janet ... this is sooooo you ....)

    I don't have photoshop.

I find the mac has enough effects for my purposes but the most I do to my photos is a bit of cropping and sometimes some sharpening.

I loved that photo of brighton beach and the sunset too when I saw them on flickr.

I don't use it much either Mary, but I think i should !

You could always follow my links and make your own ttv the non-cheatin' way :)

I am a sucker for a new way to play with photos. I have been trying to teach myself photoshop but there's so much jargon! Love that ttv effect too. There's some good tips on taking photos and working with them afterwards over at Digital Photography School

Oh yes, ttv is awesome. There are some Etsy sellers making a living with ttv images. It's very nice. I've tried with photoshop, but I gave it up. I personally love the Irene Suchocki photos, I think she is on Flickr too.

    Interesting.

Fake or not, it looks good. :)

Will have to go have a look at some more ttv on flickr!

Photoshop has been my tool of trade for many many years. Even to this day I'm still learning new tricks with it. You'll find the more you use it the more fun you have... and the more your creativity grows.
    Great work there.
