    Penmanship

It says "Zoo" and was written from memory, not copied from a book etc.
It's the boy's first written word.

His Dad thought it read "28".
Boy, did that cause a real deflation of the shoulders.

Lucky, he got it on the 2nd go ( silly Daddys ! )

That is huge! What a proud moment. Be sure to keep it and then in 6 months keep another, etc. It's amazing to record and track their progress once they learn how to write.

That is wonderful writing. Wish I could get my youngest to pick up a writing implement, he only plays with wheels, man. His art folio at crèche is empty.

Fantastic work, I agree keep all of his writing attempts or photos at least which I'm sure you'll do.

I've been showing Miss A how to spell her name and she's coming along very well indeed. Except that she often argues with me as to where the different letters are placed, huh..as if I would know!!!

Man! That's impressive. And here I was feeling all proud of Monet doing paintings of the sun and sky and paintings of spiders and dinosaurs. Doesn't compared with the written word ZOO.

I would have, given my testosterone-addled brain, guessed 28 as well.

Love that - the way the oo's sit on top of each other, is well, logical, and would save heaps of space, we should adopt this, and do all double constenants in this manner!!

    Oh, and double vowels too!!

Wow, that is pretty awesome. He seems to be quite advanced, but I think we already suspected that! I would be stoked if that was my kid. And "zoo", what a perfect word.

    Wow, how exciting!

Now if you just name your second child Zoo, things should go great between the kids! ;)
