I do get bored when the same "news" daily becomes "olds".
Shapelle Corby, David Hicks, the death of Steve Irwin and the subsequent argument about whether Bindi was being exploited, the election, all drove me slowly insane.
i don't know what the harry potter fuss is about either, my friend who is 38 yrs old forced her husband to line up outside at 1am in the morning to get the last book (and we aren't talking Australia temps here either, this was cold and damp England), I can only wonder why grown people love it so much
however, saying that, I found myself in the latest movie as a fundraiser for my daughters club and I hate to admit I quite enjoyed...so you never know
ha ha - Kiki - I sometimes think the same about myself - if it's popular, i'm somewhere else looking petulant !!
I saw ET 10yrs after it came out - on the tele !! and .. I loved it .. I cried.. but generally - fantasy/sci-fi - eurghh, get me a bucket. No LOtR here either, thankyouverymuch.
As a benighted Yank, I can only second that emotion.
Partly because I have always thought it presumptuous for a citizen of Nation A to heave his opinion of Nation B's politics to a citizen of Nation B, and partly because I have no idea who stands for what, who was involved in what scandal and so forth.
That said, I'm dreading the acrimony that will hit the US contingent of the blogosphere in about 8-9 months.
I am SO SO relieved to hear that some intelligent people are not into Harry. I have struggled my way through Book One & not bothered with the rest. p.s. I only read it the week before the last one came out and only then because I have a customer who says I don't deserve my job if I haven't read them. I am a childrens' bookseller. The shame...

Me too.
I believe in the democractic process. I *try* to stay interested in the lead-up to an election.
But once it's over, I just want everyone to get back to work and get on with it.
Too right - give a rest already!!!
Sooooo glad it is over, maybe now that they have stopped wasting money on advertising they can spend some on something important... grrrrrrr
Yep, gloating time over, get on with the job now.
that's very funny picture, I'm glad it's over too
Photoshop can be fun sometimes :)
I just love that picture. Did you do it?
Ah. I see you did.
I've been gloating too...
Be right with you h&b....
just give me a day or so...
Just to clarify - for those not in the know .. Harry Potter does not appeal to me.
When everyone was crapping on about the latest/last book and it was all over the news and blogs and all anyone could talk about.....
... I couldn't have rolled my eyes further back if I had tried...

im still trying to get my eyeballs from the back of my head also .... I am not into Harry - say it loud say it proud!
Honestly! I don't know why I'm friends with you.
I am delighted to my very core and happily drinking it all in. I'm never bored with politics.

Sorry to those who love Harry, I can't stand the thought of it/him nor Lord Of The Rings!! And..did I tell you I never saw E.T.
I think I just immediately hate what most people love.
Great image, you missed your calling woman!
(The Big Fella is a hi-res retouch artist up here, he would be impressed too).

H&B I can hear your eyes rolling from here.
Heh, I love Harry Potter, and all sorts of Sci-fi/Fantasy but not that enthused with politics. Great pic though :)
