    Busy..

So we put the tree up .. but besides that i've got things happening all over the place - my chalkboard overfloweth !

In the last few days we've had tradies, tradies, tradies.

The driveway was dug up and skipped away, the new fence was rendered.
We've had loads of garden soil and crushed rock and white pebbles delivered, and AB has been working like a demon to finish his bricking and retaining wall project down the side, before the concreting guys arrive next week.

We had the aircon people out, to fix the NEW aircon, for the 4th time ( the last two times we were sent someone who totally had no idea ) .. plus there's been the liasing with the gas company, as the front yard smells of leaking gas, and I seem to be the only one concerned about an errant cigarette butt over the fence...

AB is out there working now.
He comes home from his day-job and toils until it's too dark to see anymore.
He's a good lad. He's actually just put the 'top layer' of white pebbles down and we've both decided we prefer the cheaper 'crushed rock look' of the 'base'. The pebbles are the wrong colour and look decidedly "nanna". I'm going to pick off that layer by hand tomorrow.

Which is really really annoying, as they were like 3x the price of the crushed rock.
I'm thinking perhaps we'll use them between the rows of the new vege garden beds ( ETA: mid-late '08.. so there'll be a mound of white pebbles under the clothesline for a while ... ! )

    Annoying.

    I've also got lists ! Lists !
A baby due sooner rather than later, things to pack, things to buy.
A boy off to kinder and a list to fulfil for that little enterprise. A pre-Xmas Xmas party to cater at home ( another list: lawns to clip, shelves to dust, nooks and crannies to de-web, de-dust, and de-grime etc, etc ) , gifts to purchase !

As Bec would say .. MTC..

Glad to see I'm not the only one to work a bloke 1/2 to death. Make sure you take out loads of glasses of cold lime cordial to him. Works a charm.

I am sure I had something intelligent to say but am completely undone by a massive wave of nostalgia that hit me when I read dancingmorganmouse's suggestion of 'glasses of cold lime cordial'...

Suddenly I'm 10 years old and running out of the hot sun into the cool house to drink something sweet and dark green - unmatchable flavour!!

    Yes to lime cordial.

Yes to a big lie down after all that toil h&b.

    Yes to that lovely tree.

I know I have to go and see what ruin mine is in in the garage but I am very scared!

With all this talk of babies, lists and Christmas and baby business I think it's high time to post a new tummy pic.

Your tree looks very grown-up! Mine needs some tweaking after looking at that.

Your tree is gorgeous, but I was also blown away by -- oddly enough -- how gorgeous your wood floors are! You have a lovely space there.

I am ashamed to admit that I have never known what MTC stands for...

Cordial - we tend to "Fruit Punch" and "Lemon Barley" here .. and the Ribena is mine..

    MTC = 'More to Come'
