    Catalyst

Booked the bricklayer ( for the front fence ) today.

Someone kicked ours down last night.
    Yeah.

Although, if I haven't mentioned it before, it *must* have been tempting.

I've wanted to try it myself. It was only one girly kick away from collapse, and I guess someone couldn't resist. They left two caps from boutique import beer in their wake.

The displaced youth around here aren't exactly struggling..

So if you were driving around today and you spied a gleeful pregnant lady and a 3yr old happily kicking the rest of the fence down, that was our place.
I'm hoping the hurling of bricks onto the festering bed of bindii lawn was helping tone my bingo wings. And the sun was giving me a tan.

Got some weddings coming up, gotta look my best :p

I'm also kinda hoping the displaced youth come back tonight and think 'farque, did we do that ? We didn't do that did we ?'
    Surely they'd wonder.

    Wouldn't they ?

It must have been quite cathartic to finish that off!

I like to think they'd be properly horrified in the cold light of sober dawn, but youths today. You can't really tell.

In our old Melbourne neighborhood, the caps were always good old VB, and maybe that's why there weren't any walls there...they'd all been kicked down.

Sorry but that is hilarious!!! I bet that fence would've been tempting to kick, and as you said, I would have been tempted too. And imported beer can do that, you know. Make you feel tempted to kick a fence down. I hope they do come past again, those mis spent youths...

We live not far from the 7eleven the idiot drove through last night - and I think they left more than a bottle top!!

I wish I'd seen the pregnant lady and small child viciously kicking a brick wall down.

And apropos of nothing in this post, are you going to change the name of your blog to house & babies?

I hope the louts do come back and it does their heads in to the point they take themselves off for counselling....

Getting drunk on expensive beer in order to be a vandal!!! Are you kidding me. Did they escape in their BMW after the act?

Did you not hear the kicking sounds? We found a letterbox in our garden. We noticed where it had come from, so returned it, to a grateful & surprised owner.
We live quite close to the neighbourhood Hotel/Motel.

Well I guess if you didn't mind, I'd have gone into a mad-old-lady rant about "youth today" :)

I love the idea of the displaced youth coming back and being shocked by the extent of their boutique-beer-fuelled handiwork! It's almost worth a hidden surveillance cam to capture that moment. ;)

What?!? Was this not a car or something? How do people kick a brick wall down (not to mention why)?!?

I know a certain someone who in his youth was playing with some of his mates in hedges after a big night out. He was definitely horrified the next day when he saw he had "dented" them. He still has the scars (real, as well as emotional) from all of the deep scratches from the branches.

Hope you had fun kicking the rest down. xx
