    Look away Now

    More son-produced artwork coming up.

Just to clarify: If I read a blog that continually put up kiddy-art in that "isn't he fabulous" kinda way, i'd probably roll my eyes and move on. Just letting you know this is ok.

I don't think he's a genius, I just like his eye. It appeals to me.

It's only one pic, so scroll past it ... NOW ... if you wish ;)

The shapes are offcuts from work i've done, so don't think he did the fancy cutting.
But I do like his eye for placement, reptitition, and colour balance.

    Noice.

    ------------------------------------------

And speaking of noice, I was a bit late to the Aunty Cookie sale ( despite prior warning via email ), and got there just in time to bag the last print ( I wanted to buy two )

But it turned out, she had more material than expected, so cut me DOUBLE what I ordered, with a note saying she didn't figure i'd be able to do much with the crappy quantity i'd ordered. Wow.

    That's pretty spesh.
I guess she wants customer loyalty and repeat purchases in future ;)

    And a free badge-cum-bottle-opener-keyring !

I love this fabric/design, although all her stuff is good.

I want to block it onto some canvas for some ready-to-hang art .. or maybe .... hmmm...

    --------------------------------------

In other bonus news, there's a stash of pretty paper offcuts from my
    ex-workplace coming my way !!
I pick it up on Sunday at a kiddy party.
We'll be making the deal in the carpark of a Suburban McDonalds, possibly with furtive looks over our shoulders.

Which makes it seem all naughty even though it's above-board.

    I like being naughty.
    Even despite my "G" rating....

I suspect the fabric will go perfectly with your lime and tomato colour scheme? Fab.

Your boy makes great artwork for you. Have you thought about what you'll do with it all? I ended up buying a laminator but with the amount of stuff that comes home from school I'm thinking of buying a BIG filing cabinet.

Art, freebies, what more could a girl ask for?!

Just remembered, my mum used to frame our stuff. Just a frame with glass & she'd replace the painting regularly. I can't say how special that made us feel, I'm guessing blogging it is the modern mum's version!

I got an NC17 but I wasn't surprised. Hey! At least you are kiddie friendly. ^__^

I always like looking at kiddie art - it makes me feel better about plastering the walls of our house with masterpieces from my two!

Definately laminationable. And into a notebook. Scrapbook? Loving the contrast in mood from the dog with hiked up leg to the elegant flowers.

Lol... I can just imagine this sort of shady crafty deal going on in carparks across the nation on weekends. You be careful now. :)
Great print btw. Love the cards that they are featuring on the home page of Aunty Cookie right now.

Love the kiddie art! How do you store his previous art pieces?

Great fabric! How beautiful and how lucky are you? And nothing wrong with exposing your son's artistic ability. How much do they glueing (its a favourite thing to do around here!)?? My mother cuts out all these pictures and sends Monet envelopes filled with piccies for her to glue into her scrapbook. Twice a week. Someone loves collecting the mail at our house...

Never fear, I'm one of those people that seriously honestly LOVES to look at kids artwork, any kids artwork of any variety. When I used to rip out pictures I liked from magazines I'd always keep the ones that feature a room with kids art on the walls. My first full time job was an an integration aid in a primary school and I spent much of the time doing artwork with the kids. I could go on and on and on about kids artwork, then you could roll your eyes... However, continue to post his artwork because it is precious. Also, the pictures you dont keep, you can always keep in photos. THE END.

You should do a little art gallery link at the side of your blog and photograph all his work, that would be cute, I have a photo albulm link on mine for my photography. (webshots)
