Because I *am* enamoured.
Tuesdays are a daddy day ( we went and looked at greywater facilities and substrates for paving driveways et al ), and this afternoon we let the lad take his first unassisted clicks of the cam.
I was so impressed with the results, i've set up his own Flickr account.
This boy rocks my world, seriously.

He's good. Seriously good. Great framing and focus (and not a finger across the lens in sight...)
Great photos! I particularly like the sandpit shots. ~Carolyn
What did I do wrong? I couldnt see the pics.
But you are right he is wonderful.
Oh - I should add I didn't crop any of these either ( or upload the cruddy, unexciting pics ;)
Meggie, click on the words "flickr account" to see the pics.
"I'm male and taken." Hilarious!
I love the photos he took of you, including the one of his parents.
Ah, a child's perspective....
What a little legend is Master B!! Very arty sandpit shots - impressive little man.
Goodness, you guys are seriously photogenic... great idea and great pictures. He's so cool.
Who wouldn't love him - he's adorable!
They're wonderful photos. Your boy surely does rock!! Great perspective shots. Brilliant. Might have to let Monet loose with the camera one day...
You boy has that photographer's stance already.
The photo that he took of his parent is just lovely with a very jaunty angle!
In years to come he will credit this as the beginning of his award winning career.
Check out the lighting on the soccer ball pic! That really is incredible. Good for you for being brave enough to give your three year old the camera. Really -- can you imagine....years later, him thinking about you doing that for him?! Mama rawks too.
How awesome! Your little guy takes seriously cool photos :)
Yeah, I like the one he took of you guys as well. And the fact that he was "taken".
Have you had any thoughts about the sort of mother-in-law you'll become? ... ;-)
I'm already pretty sure NO-ONE will be good enough for my boys.
the FB has his own digital camera too (an old one of ours) and a broken SLR where the only thing broken is a bit inside for winding the film on. He has a great time setting them up on tripods and photographing stuff.
That is so great. Bet you wouldn't have ever thought you'd have a three year old photographer on your hands who's work can be viewed by people all around the world!!! My favorites so far are the sandpit shot with the toy, and the mum & dad one, of course.
Imagine, a record of the world though your boys eyes over the years. Yes, this is good.
great photos....He does have a good eye!
We have the same sand table...I don't even put sand and water together anymore...just makes it a mud table!
You would almost pay to have some of those photos taken. What a clever boy you have there.
