    Countdown

Getting the house ready for a party.
Always a good excuse to do those things you should do on a semi-regular basis - like cleaning grotty windows. And ovens ( so your delicate vanilla cake doesn't end up with undertones of roast lamb .. )

Love this pic of my boys taken when Daddy was home sick.
He should have known a nice rest was out of the question.
    In this house, no-one snoozes.

You were all right about the weather.

Rain in Melbourne has been now moved to May.
Or never. Hope I didn't just jinx myself ...

Happy birthday to the littlest boy. Lovely photo. You're right - at home, no one sleeps! There's too much to do to sleep, don't you know?!

Hope your boy has a wonderful day.

Oh no, MF - not today !

.. it just takes me a long time to do things, as I only do a few things a day ( ie: wash a window, blog about it, take several photographs, google the weather, play a game, paint something, lug buckets of laundry water onto the garden, take a pic, blog about it .. etc, etc repeat ad nauseum ;)

I wonder if your windows looked like mine do before I clean them? ie. little finger marksover the bottom half of them!!

Its good to be organised, sounds as if you are... Hope all goes well and I too hope you didn't jinx Melbourne's water supply!!

Happy birthday to your little boy! He's so cute in both those photos! I like how he's entertaining dad while he's sick.

And blogging is important stuff! Much more important than window washing! ;o)

We gave our children cameras when they were quite young. It was so funny to see the world from their perspective. In most photos we looked like giants with many chins, as they were standing just above our knee level. I loved it, but I won't be showing amy photos to anyone!

What a charmed life you are creating for your fellow!

Is that a greenhouse I see in your garden?!!!??

You are so good doing housework ahead of time instead of just thinking about it and talking about it. I sometimes clean key windows at the last moment so my guests will think I do housework and not notice the bits undone.

And for letting your boy play with the camera, which begs the question, with what did you take the photo? Oh, too many questions.

I dont generally clean windows... but the finger marks from SG & the lick/nose marks from the dogs, make a real messy outlook!
I am glad to you stop to take pics- it keeps me entertained.

Melody: yes .. and he likes to 'help' me ... which only makes them dirtier ...

Tracey - I think my first camera ( a plastic Hanimex, similar to the 'disposables' of today ) was one of my best gifts ever. I was 9yrs old :)

janet - yep, a greenhouse - how cool is that ? It's made out of old doors ( possibly from this house ) and glass shower partitions, and printing plates, and other cast-offs. I love it. The husband thinks it looks a bit raggeddy, but it's like the cubby I always wanted to me :)

oh - and he's got Daddy's camera ( the good one ), so I ducked inside to get my little Canon to take the pic ;)

Oh, h&b a greenhouse is so, so cool. Early tomatoes, basil. Oh the possibilites. I don't think it's raggedy!

I'm planning a greenhouse in my next garden.

So that's why my birthday cakes have the aroma of lamb...you're supposed to *clean* the oven! :)

I must show The Poolboy your greenhouse, he'll be sooo jealous. He craves a greenhouse.

    Good luck with the party!!!
Great photoshop efforts. It made me laugh because I have just had a short teaching contract and the art teacher taking long service leave told me 'You can do some photoshop with the year 11's and 12's if you like!!!' YEAH RIGHT! they know so much more than me! But I did learn a thing or two from them. Don't think thats what I was getting paid for ?!?!

I'm always amazed at how much of a facelift the house gets when you clean the windows. Doesn't make me do them any more often though. Love the photo with the cat, the boy and the greenhouse.

Glad to see that cute little photographer is following in your footsteps with the camera. This weather is very strange, it feels like summer in my part of the state.

Haha! That photo in the bed is soooo classic!
Does that mean that you are finally getting some rain down south? I hope so and lots of it!

That is an awesome picture of your son. Now if we could just see the result of his photography, the juxtaposition would be amazing!!
