We'd finished a bottle of wine and it was getting far too late before we'd even opened our menus, such was the chat. I'm not even sure what we talked about - kids, blogging, clothes, shopping, books, houses, other bloggers ( only nice things ), family ... the usual, I guess.
So we ended up with some late-night tasting plates, and kept talking, and talking, and talking.
When the waitress came over to let us know they were closing up, L.C. was a bit indignant after she'd walked away.
"They advertised open until late!" she cried.
Stomper looked at her watch. It was Midnight.
Oh.
Here's a pic of us taken with Stomper's camera by her taxi driver as we wrapped it up for the night. What a sweetie cabbie - jumping out of the cab, making sure the pic was ok etc.
More than happy to help - why are there not more cabbies like this ?
It would have been nice if Lazy smiled though - what's with that bitchy expression ?
I also think we could do with some tips on how to blend foundation so we don't get those awful 'high tide' marks on our necks.
Still, our collective beauty makes up for these little things....
It was 1am before I got home.
Lazy kindly gave me a ride ( OMG - she knows where I live !! ), and I got a text from my husband on the way home: " R U OK? ".
I wonder if my mother was telling him about those internet-dwelling murderous kooks, and how I was probably lying in a ditch somewhere ?

Oh how did you know Jaclyn was my favourite? And did you tell your mum and husband we were pashing in the car (ha ha)? I'm sooo incredibly tired today though, but it was worth it.
